Beyond Bedlam’s Door reviewed on Cyberlibrarian
Beyond Bedlam’s Door was reviewed by Miriam Downey on her blog, the Cyberlibrarian. In her review, she writes:
What I particularly like about Rubinstein’s storytelling is that the 21 stories in the book are about very interesting people, each with his/her own unique story, each with a unique problem for which they have come seeking help. Sometimes it takes a very brave person to say, “I need help in thinking this problem through.” or “I can’t solve this on my own.” The afterword in each chapter is as important as the story itself. Rubinstein never denies, in any way, the humanity of his patient.

BlogCritics Reviews Beyond Bedlam’s Door
Bedlam’s Door was reviewed on BlogCritics. In the review, Luke Goldstein writes:
I’ve grown up a fan of the legal practice and the core idea of defending those in need of help and treating everyone fairly without regard to the money or fame involved. Dr. Rubinstein continues to show in example after example his dedication to those ideals, while also trying to be understandably humble. Yet in case after case, it was clear that when faced with tough choices and outside pressures, he took his work and his ethical promise to heart.

Bedlam’s Door on Stew’s Reviews
Stew’s Reviews recently reviewed Mark Rubinstein’s latest book. He writes:
Bedlam’s Door: True Tales of Madness and Hope is informative, encapsulating, and endearing. Dr. Rubinstein doesn’t just document experiences he had, he rather recounts them like stories around a campfire, each one meant to deliver another lesson and moral. He shows more than just a clinician’s eye. He shows a caretaker’s heart.

Bedlam’s Door Reviewed on Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers blog
Mark Rubinstein and Bedlam’s Door were featured in a review on the blog Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers. It featured the following conclusion:
I have to agree, it’s a book ripped from the pages of life that reads like fiction and yet manages to impart pointers, suggestions, and scientific facts along the way that are both fascinating and informative. It sheds a different light on those suffering from mental afflictions, one that calls for learning, care, and action versus reaction, while reminding us that it can happen to anyone for any number of reasons. So you see, defining normal isn’t all that easy after all…
